Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has been 1 of the biggest revelations in college football this season. The rising star will get another chance to add to his lore when No. 5 Ole Miss takes on host No. 9 on Saturday afternoon.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart recently spoke glowingly of the breakout senior from Detroit, who originally began his college career at Division II Ferris State.

“He’s quick. He’s fast. He’s tough. He’s got great lower body. Great instincts.. [Ole Miss] should get the greatest award there is for finding this guy,” Smart said. “I don’t know who scouted him, who found him, but he is a really good football player that they went out and got and did a tremendous job.”

Since taking over for the injured Austin Simmons, Chambliss has evolved into a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate. The 6-foot-1 Chambliss has passed for 1,286 yards with 7 touchdowns, 1 interception and the nation’s 9th-best QBR (84.2). Chambliss has also rushed for 281 yards and 3 scores.

Georgia leads the all-time series 33-13-1 vs. Ole Miss. However, Ole Miss won last season’s meeting 28-10 in Oxford.

Ole Miss at Georgia is slated for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff (ABC).
