Kirby Smart addressed Georgia’s injury situation at his Monday press conference coming out of the bye week and ahead of the Florida game.

Smart said LB Smael Mondon was able to practice toward the end of last week, while DT Jalen Carter and WR AD Mitchell weren’t practicing with the team last week. RB Kendall Milton practiced non-contact.

About Mitchell and Carter, Smart said, “We’re hopeful to get those guys back, but still don’t know.”

Carter suffered an ankle injury against Oregon, and a knee injury against Missouri.

About Carter, Smart said, “He’s a really good football player. Y’all’s seen the plays he’s made. He has not been healthy since the very first play of the season. … It affects your depth more than anything, but it’s not like he’s a one-trick pony, he can really pass rush good, he can really play the run. He’s disruptive. It’s not just that it affects your pass rush. It affects everything because he’s a really phenomenal player and we’d like to have him out there.”
