Kirk Herbstreit liked a lot of what he saw from the SEC on Saturday, including the Georgia defense, and 4 individual players who stood out.

The ESPN commentator named his “top performing players” from Week 5, and they include RB Brian Robinson from Alabama, Will Rogers from Mississippi State, Bo Nix from Auburn and Tiyon Evans from Tennessee.

Robinson ran for a career-high 171 yards and 4 touchdowns, while Rogers finished with 400+ yards passing and 3 touchdowns passing for the second time this season. He is the only player in the SEC to accomplish that feat. Bo Nix, meanwhile, passed for 255 yards and one touchdown while rushing for a game-high 74 yards and one touchdown while he led Auburn to its first win at LSU since 1999.

Evans had 15 carries for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns, including a 92-yard run.

Georgia’s defense also shut out Arkansas, and allowed just 162 total yards and 9 first downs as the Bulldogs improved to 5-0.
