Jackson signed with the Razorbacks out of high school, as the 247Sports Composite Rankings had him as a 3-star prospect and the No. 30 quarterback in the country. However, it wasn’t instant playing time, having spent the last two years behind Taylen Green on the depth chart. Entering Week 1, he was 37-of-58 for 500 yards and 3 touchdowns in a limited role.
For Jackson and the Razorbacks, finding a rhythm in Week 1 was a must as the schedule gets much tougher over the next couple of weeks. After Saturday’s game, the Razorbacks have a road game at Utah, followed by a home game against Georgia.
Getting off to a good start in Week 1 was a must for the Razorbacks, as those two games figure to be a true introduction to Jackson and Silverifeld about what life is going to be moving forward in the SEC.
