Arkansas saw success under Sam Pittman and star quarterback KJ Jefferson last season. The Razorbacks won 9 games, downed Penn State 24-10 in the Outback Bowl and return stars such as Jefferson in 2022 hoping to do it all again and then some.

Arkansas earned a No. 19 ranking in the preseason Top 25 AP Poll. For Jefferson, that’s about 18 spots too low.

โ€œWe look at it, I mean, itโ€™s all on social media,โ€ Jefferson said, via Trey Biddy of 247Sports. โ€œPretty much get on social media throughout the day. We see it but it also is motivation and drives us each and every day to prove everybody wrong. Thereโ€™s a standard here. Weโ€™ve always been the underdog, so just being able to look at those predictions and just move along, embrace it, look at it, use it as motivation to fuel the fire.โ€

The Razorbacks have talent, but a tough schedule. Arkansas plays 5 AP Top 25 teams this season, tying Auburn for the most in the country. If the Razorbacks outperform last season’s 9-4 record, you better believe they earned it.

The test starts Week 1 against Cincinnati on Sept. 3.
