Arkansas saw success under Sam Pittman and star quarterback KJ Jefferson last season. The Razorbacks won 9 games, downed Penn State 24-10 in the Outback Bowl and return stars such as Jefferson in 2022 hoping to do it all again and then some.

Arkansas earned a No. 19 ranking in the preseason Top 25 AP Poll. For Jefferson, that’s about 18 spots too low.

“We look at it, I mean, it’s all on social media,” Jefferson said, via Trey Biddy of 247Sports. “Pretty much get on social media throughout the day. We see it but it also is motivation and drives us each and every day to prove everybody wrong. There’s a standard here. We’ve always been the underdog, so just being able to look at those predictions and just move along, embrace it, look at it, use it as motivation to fuel the fire.”

The Razorbacks have talent, but a tough schedule. Arkansas plays 5 AP Top 25 teams this season, tying Auburn for the most in the country. If the Razorbacks outperform last season’s 9-4 record, you better believe they earned it.

The test starts Week 1 against Cincinnati on Sept. 3.
