Sunday meant another gruesome injury for a quarterback in the NFL as former Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen absorbed a tragic injury on a tackle by Jabrill Peppers of the New York Giants.
The Washington quarterback his leg bend the wrong way on a sack, and he was helped off the field. Allen’s injury looked similar to a leg injury suffered a few weeks ago by Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, who also did it against the Giants.
Players and officials immediately called for medical personnel. Allen was carted off and replaced by Alex Smith, whose own career was halted serious leg injury two years ago.
Allen has seen more action recently after Washington benched Dwayne Haskins and made Smith the backup.
Allen was 5-for-7 passing for 62 yards before the injury. He has four TDs and one interception on the season.
This is not a video to watch for those who are squeamish.
