Ladd McConkey gave fantasy owners a scare in Week 1’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver and third-year veteran out of Georgia made five catches for 82 yards, but left in the third quarter after a rib injury.

That was bad news for the Chargers, who ultimately lost to the Cardinals. While they hoped to have McConkey back in the fold against the Las Vegas Raiders, he hasn’t been able to practice with the team.

In fact, according to Adam Schefter, McConkey has been held out of practice for the past two days while he recuperates. Per Schefter, McConkey is “unlikely (to) be available against the Raiders.

If McConkey can’t play, he may not be the only former Georgia standout who will have to sit things out during the game. Schefter reported that Brock Bowers hasn’t yet practiced after a left knee procedure on Sept. 8. Since his stellar rookie season in 2024, Bowers has struggled with some injury concerns. He missed five games in 2025 due to a PCL sprain and a bone bruise, finishing with 680 yards despite seven touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Raiders are 1-0 after a 27-13 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.
