La’Mical Perine narrates dramatic Florida hype video for showdown at Auburn

La’Mical Perine put away Auburn, once upon a time for Florida, with an 88-yard touchdown run back in the 2019 meeting in Gainesville, helping seal the Gators’ 24-13 victory.
Now, 7 years later, with Florida set to head to the Plains for a primetime matchup with Auburn, who better than Perine to narrate an intense hype video that the Florida football social media account released on Friday night. With the headline, “Now it’s time to go,” complete with a popcorn emoji, Perine’s voice took Gators fans through a montage of highlights from the rich SEC rivalry between the brand-name programs.
In 2019, Perine’s 4th-quarter touchdown burst was a signature moment for Florida. He ended up rushing for 130 yards on 14 carries that day, with the 1 iconic touchdown run that made Gators fans remember UF-Auburn circa 2019 forever. Perine added 4 catches for 15 yards for good measure.
So, who will emerge on Saturday night when the Tigers and Gators kick things off at about 7 p.m. ET on ESPN? Florida is a slight favorite, but it’ll have to outlast Auburn on its home field.
