Lane Kiffin is the new coach at LSU, and fans are already dreaming of what they hope is an incredible era in the program’s history.
He made news early in the week when it was reported that he was considering joining Louisiana governor Jeff Landry at the Sugar Bowl, but ultimately decided against that plan.
Instead of making an appearance at the matchup between Georgia and his old school Ole Miss, he decided to make an appearance in Baton Rouge at the LSU women’s basketball game against Kentucky.
Since he became the coach, LSU fans have been estatic about having him run the program, and the Tigers fans in attendance on Thursday night made sure to give Lane Kiffin a huge applause.
Kiffin walked hand-in-hand with LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey, in a matchup between an undefeated Tigers team and a Kentucky team with only one loss.
Friday is a big day for Kiffin and the football program, as it is the first official day that the NCAA transfer portal is open. There figures to be plenty of news from Baton Rouge the next few weeks, as Kiffin and his staff look at building a team that can compete for a national championship.
