Lane Kiffin is getting acclimated to his new state weeks after being named LSU‘s head coach.
He’ll now get an up close and personal look at one of Louisiana’s biggest annual traditions.
Kiffin will be a co-grand marshal during the 2026 Endymion parade, according to The Advocate. According to the report, it is “the largest parade krewe in New Orleans” and is scheduled for February 14, days before Mardi Gras on Feb. 17.
Kiffin won’t be alone: one of the other two grand marshals will be singer Gwen Stefani. Other celebrities to serve in the role are “Britney Spears, Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, (and) Flo Rida,” The Advocate says.
While Lane Kiffin will have Endymion marked on his calendar, LSU’s spring camp isn’t too far off — that said, dates haven’t been announced just yet.
It will give the first-year Tigers head coach a close look at his team, including a massive group from the transfer portal. LSU brought in a total of 40 players during this cycle, four of those coming from Ole Miss. That includes quarterback Sam Leavitt, who has spent the last season as Arizona State’s starter and is the Tigers’ presumptive QB1 heading into 2026.
