Lane Kiffin trolls Brian Kelly on social media minutes after win over LSU
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin led the Rebels to a 24-19 win over LSU on Saturday afternoon in Oxford.
Within about a half hour of that game going final, Kiffin was on social media having some fun at Brian Kelly expense. He took a photo of a printed-out quote Kelly gave earlier in the week about the Tigers’ plans on Saturday. Kelly confidently said LSU was going to keep the Magnolia Trophy in Baton Rouge “where it deserves to be.”
Here’s Kiffin’s post:
Despite Kelly’s confidence, LSU’s offense had very little production in this game against the Rebels. The Tigers averaged just 4.5 yards per play as Garrett Nussmeier once again struggled to push the ball downfield. LSU’s running game was also limited to just 57 total yards.
For Kiffin, this is one of the biggest wins of his Ole Miss tenure. The Rebels are now 5-0 on the season and look likely to contend for a College Football Playoff berth this fall.
Ole Miss has now won the Magnolia Bowl in Oxford in three straight seasons.
