Lane Kiffin trolls Mississippi State for loss to Tennessee ‘in Neyland Stadium’

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin trolled Mississippi State fans for their shoddy attendance in last week’s loss to Tennessee.

Of course, the game was played in Starkville – but it sure didn’t seem like it. Tennessee fans made the trip en masse, and what seemed like an entire side of the stadium was orange while Mississippi State fans held a white out. Probably not the best idea against Tennessee, in hindsight.

I mean, just look at this:

On Wednesday the week after the game, Kiffin went on the Pardon My Take podcast and joked about Barstool Sports employee and Mississippi State fan Brandon Walker, telling Big Cat and PFT, “Ask him how that game was Saturday in Neyland Stadium.”

Indeed, the cowbells didn’t have much of an effect on the Vols offense Saturday in Neyland Stadium Davis Wade Stadium. The Vols put up 466 yards of total offense, and quarterback Joey Aguilar passed for a Week 6 SEC-high 335 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 rushing touchdown. In overtime it got even worse for the Bulldogs, as Vols running back DeSean Bishop galloped to the house on the very first play.

Ole Miss has had a hot start to the year, as well. The Rebels dispatched Blake Baker’s imposing LSU defense on Saturday and remain undefeated on the year heading into the bye week.

The Rebels will be back in action next Saturday against Washington State.
