The SEC had eight ranked teams in action during Week 6. Just two of them faced one another, but four of them suffered losses. The players at the center of some of those upsets, unsurprisingly, earned recognition as SEC Players of the Week.

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers and Missouri running back Jamal Roberts split the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week honors. Sellers, with 279 passing yards and four touchdown tosses, led his Gamecocks to a dominant 38-19 win over No. 16 Florida.

Roberts carried his Tigers to a 27-6 triumph vs. Texas A&M by rushing for 222 yards and two scores. In the process, he joined Derrick Henry and Leonard Fournette as SEC running backs to run for 200 yards in consecutive games against FBS opponents.

Oklahoma safety Peyton Bowen, who had a 42-yard pick-six in the Sooners’ 27-24 win over No. 1 Texas, was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week. Kentucky wide receiver Brock Coffman, after finding the end zone on a 55-yard punt return touchdown, snagged Co-SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors with Sooner kicker Tate Sandell, whose 47-yard field goal gave Oklahoma its Red River Rivalry victory.

Here’s the complete list of SEC Player of the Week recipients:
