Former LSU star Leonard Fournette helped the Jacksonville Jaguars take the lead against the Denver Broncos with a huge run in the third quarter.
Fournette carried the ball 81 yards to setup an eventual touchdown three plays later as the Jaguars took a 20-17 lead. Fournette both stepped over a defender and stiff-armed another opponent to get the ball to the Denver 12-yard line.
That gave Fournette 178 yards on 20 carries, a nice 8.9 yards per carry average. This was by far Fournette’s best game of the season as he hadn’t even topped 70 yards to this point. Fournette also didn’t score a touchdown in his first three games.
If this is any indication, it appears to be a bounce-back season for Fournette has struggled the last couple of seasons after a 1,040 yard output in 2017. He’s had less than 500 yards the last two years.
