Despite being fired from LSU in 2016, Les Miles has been awfully supportive of the Tigers ever since.

So supportive, in fact, that he foresees an LSU win against No. 1 Alabama this weekend.

In an appearance on Wednesday’s “The Paul Finebaum Show,” Miles officially predicted the No. 3 Tigers to finally end their seven-game losing streak to the Crimson Tide.

โ€œThe secondary wins against Alabama,” Miles said. “I think theyโ€™ll have to run the ball to beat LSU, and I donโ€™t think thatโ€™s going to happen. I think the linebacker corps and the line match up well with Alabama. If you canโ€™t throw it and you canโ€™t run it, the QB will have to run it. Thatโ€™s where an injury would be most telling.โ€

Considering that Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been dealing with a knee issue for the past three weeks, that scenario isn’t entirely out of the question.

But many think the Tigers are a long shot to even challenge Alabama. LSU opened as a 14.5-point underdog against its hated rival, which are the worst odds the Tigers have been assigned in a home game since 1997.

Miles couldn’t figure out the Crimson Tide following LSU’s 9-6 overtime win in the 2011 “Game of the Century,” which largely contributed to his firing. Still, Miles seems pretty confident his successor can find a way to beat Alabama.
