As far as Les Miles is concerned, thereโs no quarterback battle at LSU any longer.
In a pre-game interview with SEC Network’s Maria Taylor on Saturday, Miles said sophomore Anthony Jennings should see most, if not all, of the snaps during tonight’s game against Kentucky.
โAnthony Jennings will start and heโll go to the field and not look back, not look over his shoulder and do the things heโs capable of doing,โ Miles said. โWeโd like to get Brandon Harris some snaps, but right now, weโll play it based on the situation.”
Miles, who recorded his 100th win at LSU last week in Gainesville, commended Jennings’ play in the fourth quarter.
SEC Nation analyst Tim Tebow backed Miles’ decision.
โI think Anthony Jennings has handled the big situation better than Brandon Harris has,โ Tebow said. โHe didnโt make a lot of plays to win it, but he didnโt make any plays to lose it (in The Swamp).
