As far as Les Miles is concerned, there’s no quarterback battle at LSU any longer.
In a pre-game interview with SEC Network’s Maria Taylor on Saturday, Miles said sophomore Anthony Jennings should see most, if not all, of the snaps during tonight’s game against Kentucky.
“Anthony Jennings will start and he’ll go to the field and not look back, not look over his shoulder and do the things he’s capable of doing,” Miles said. “We’d like to get Brandon Harris some snaps, but right now, we’ll play it based on the situation.”
Miles, who recorded his 100th win at LSU last week in Gainesville, commended Jennings’ play in the fourth quarter.
SEC Nation analyst Tim Tebow backed Miles’ decision.
“I think Anthony Jennings has handled the big situation better than Brandon Harris has,” Tebow said. “He didn’t make a lot of plays to win it, but he didn’t make any plays to lose it (in The Swamp).
