Kentucky’s coaching staff has decided to shuffle its offensive line and move its tackles back to their natural positions.
All-American Darian Kinnard is moving back to right tackle after the first-team All-SEC selection had worked at left tackle during the spring and early portion of fall camp. That means that LSU transfer Dare Rosenthal is slated to be the starter at left tackle. He reportedly took first-team snaps on Tuesday, and he started 8 games at left tackle at LSU the previous 2 seasons.
โI think itโs just putting guys in a position to be the most successful they can be,โ offensive coordinator Liam Coen said, according to Cats Pause. โObviously heโs more successful and comfortable being on the right side. We want to be able to run the ball that way a lot. Thatโs our guy that we need to run behind. I think that gives us the ability to do so. Heโs more comfortable there and heโs a team player. Heโs the type of kid that just wants to do anything to win and thatโs what he did.โ
The rest of the offensive line shapes up to be left guard Kenneth Horsey, center Luke Fortner and right guard Eli Cox.
