It seemed inevitable, but now it’s official.

Rapper, producer, deejay and Chappelle’s Show skit inspiration Lil Jon will make an appearance in Knoxville on Nov. 8. Jon will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the International just minutes from UT’s campus.

Tennessee adopted a new tradition this season, blaring Jon’s hit song “Turn Down For What?” over the Neyland Stadium loudspeakers on opposing team’s third down possessions. While playing the song, the jumbotron displays the phrase “Third Down For What?”, which has become extremely popular among fans, especially within the student section.

Coincidentally, Tennessee’s defense has forced opponents to an 11-of-53 (20.8 percent) third down conversion rate this season. The Atlanta native had a series of tweets last week and provided Neyland Stadium with a pre game video before last Saturday’s kickoff

Tickets for the show are $25 and $75 for VIP and are available at www.Internationalknox.com.
