LISTEN: Jon Gruden asked about Tennessee job on Mike & Mike

The Grumors have been out of control recently.
Two days ago, Tennessee insider John Brice reported that Jon Gruden was reaching out to former Vols about potentially joining his staff, and just yesterday, FootballScoop shot those reports down, saying that Gruden certainly wasn’t doing that and that he has no interest in the Vols job.
Gruden, of course, was a Tennessee assistant in the 1980s, and he is a Super Bowl-winning coach who is the current analyst on Monday Night Football.
On Wednesday during his weekly spot with Mike & Mike on ESPN Radio, Mike Golic asked Gruden about the Tennessee job and all the rumors surrounding it.
โYou know what Mike, I havenโt talked to anybody and all I really have in my life is my family and football, thatโs it,โ Gruden said. “Iโm real sensitive to the coaches that are out there, so I donโt speculate. I just love football and Iโm just trying to hang on to the job I have. Iโm very fortunate to be with the people Iโm with.
“I donโt know what’s going to happen in the future, I just know this โ Iโm going to give my best effort to the game, stay prepared and I love Monday Night Football, donโt plan on leaving, but as you know in life, you never say never.”
We couldnโt have one last visit with Jon Gruden without addressing the latest โreturning to coaching rumors.โ #Vols pic.twitter.com/arlp9Its7a
