Buckle your chinstrap: NFL rosters are SEC-loaded

Watch the NFL on Sundays after an appetizing day of college football and you’ll notice former SEC players all over the field.

According to a recent look into NFL standouts by position, a CBS Sports infographic reveals that four SEC programs — LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Florida — make up four of the Top 5 pro-producing programs in the country.

Nine different positions are dominated by SEC talent including wide receiver, defensive tackle, defensive end and cornerback. The raw numbers are astounding.

Over the last decade, LSU leads with 68 NFL draft picks and currently has a small edge over all college programs with 38 active players.

  • Georgia: 34
  • Florida: 33
  • Florida State: 33
  • Miami: 31
  • California: 29
  • Ohio State: 29
  • Notre Dame: 28
