The LSU Tigers took their second loss of the season this past Saturday at the hands of the Vanderbilt Commodores, getting knocked off by a final score of 31-24 up in Nashville, Tennessee.
This loss to the Commodores has put Brian Kelly‘s squad into a box moving forward, with any hope at making the College Football Playoff likely being reliant on the Bayou Bengals winning out the rest of the way.
Unfortunately for LSU, this task appears have become a whole lot more difficult moving forward, as CBS Sports college football insider Matt Zenitz is reporting that star left tackle for the Tigers Tyree Adams could end up missing “multiple games” due to an ankle injury he suffered against Vanderbilt.
A former top-15 recruit at the position, Adams has been taking over as the new blind side blocker for star Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier in the wake of former left tackle Will Campbell’s departure to the NFL.
He’s starter all 7 games for LSU so far in 2025, and has been very solid in one of the most difficult positions to play at on the football field. Now, Kelly and his staff will more than likely be turning to true freshman backup Carius Curne to fill in for Adams while he recovers.
