LSU displays fake, provocative Kenny Minchey quote at football facility

LSU and Kentucky are set to face off in Week 6 in a game that has suddenly become bigger than expected. The Wildcats have been one of the most surprising teams in the country to start the year, and the Tigers have bounced back nicely since the loss to Ole Miss in Week 3.
Lane Kiffin has never been one to shy away from using any means necessary to motivate his team. On Wednesday, an image began making rounds on social media showing a Kenny Minchey quote displayed at the LSU Football Facility: “LSU’s defense hasn’t seen anyone like us and our offensive line yet.”
Just one problem: the quote isn’t real. KSR confirmed that Minchey never actually said the quote, and that it is made up. Here’s a look at the picture, which KSR also contends is not AI-generated.
The Wildcats are coming off the best comeback road victory in school history, as they came back from a 17-0 deficit to win, 35-34, in overtime at South Carolina. Coach Will Stein decided to go for two in overtime, and Minchey connected with Willie Rodriguez to get the win.
Kentucky has already had one big home game this year, and for one half it was going well as the Wildcats took a 17-13 lead to the half against Alabama. However, things unraveled after that, and the Crimson Tide pulled away for the big win.
The atmosphere doesn’t figure to have quite as much animosity for Kiffin as Oxford did three weeks ago, but you can bet that the Wildcats’ fans will be using this made up quote to enhance the atmosphere in Lexington a little bit.
