LSU earned a huge victory in the transfer portal on Tuesday afternoon with a defensive line prize straight from the ACC.

Transfer defensive lineman Stephiylan Green has committed to Lane Kiffin and LSU for the 2026 season, taking his talents from Clemson to Baton Rouge. Green told On3 of his intentions for next fall, which would mean he’d be playing his home games in one Death Valley in 2025 and the other one in 2026.

One of the most coveted defensive linemen in the transfer portal, Green had 18 tackles, 6 of them solo, and 2.5 sacks this past fall for Clemson. But with his transfer to LSU, not only will Clemson miss his production in 2026, it’ll have to face Green to start the 2026 season, with Clemson and LSU set to clash in Baton Rouge in early September.

As expected, there was a ton of competition for Green’s services in 2026, with LSU and Kiffin ultimately winning out over SEC rival Texas A&M, as well as powerhouses Miami and USC.

The redshirt sophomore and Georgia native is finished at Clemson after three seasons in the program. He registered 34 total tackles, 5 tackles-for-loss and 3.5 sacks in 24 combined games for Dabo Swinney over those three years.

Green only started 6 games during the 2025 season for Clemson, and now he’ll be seeking more playing time in Baton Rouge as he joins Kiffin for his first season as head coach, so the defensive lineman and coach will both be starting fresh at LSU in 2026.

His true freshman season in 2023 was a redshirt for Green, before things picked up for him in 2024.
