LSU on Tuesday flipped an Ole Miss recruit just days after the arrival of Lane Kiffin, as four-star tight end JC Anderson has now pledged to the Tigers.
Hours later, another Ole Miss recruit announced his intent to instead play for LSU and join Kiffin in Baton Rouge. Offensive lineman Ryan Miret, a Miami product, revealed his decision to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
According to 247Sports, Miret, from Southridge High School in Miami, is a three-star recruit who currently has 25 offers. The 300-pounder verballed to Ole Miss in June but took official visits to Georgia Tech and Miami. But with the Early Signing Period opening on Wednesday, he appears poised to sign with Kiffin and LSU.
With Miret’s pledge, LSU currently has 15 verbal commits from the class of 2026. That includes the country’s No. 4 player, Lamar Brown, who Kiffin checked in on just hours after arriving in Baton Rouge. As for Richard Anderson, the top defensive lineman in the nation, ESPN 104.5 in Baton Rouge is reporting that he may hold off signing due to “uncertainty” around his primary recruiter, Frank Wilson, remaining on staff.
Despite that, Miret is now in the fold. Here’s his highlight video, courtesy of Hudl:
