LSU lands 2027 commitment from 4-star Florida WR previously pledged to Miami

A blue-chip wide receiver from Florida has decided he doesn’t need to be close to home for college, and is planning to head to the bayou instead of staying in the Sunshine State.
Ah’Mari Stevens originally pledged to play for the Miami Hurricanes. He told Hayes Fawcett of On3 that he is now committed to LSU.

Out of Hollywood (Florida) Chaminade-Madonna High School, Stevens is listed at 6-feet and 170 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Stevens is rated 4-stars, the No. 32 player in the state of Florida, No. 42 wide receiver and No. 334 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
Stevens was an early commitment for Miami in the 2027 cycle. He pledged to the Hurricanes on Jan. 13, 2025. Since then, however, he other schools, including Texas, Georgia, Florida, continued to show interest.
There were signs that Stevens wasn’t sure to land in Coral Gables when he scheduled visits at LSU, Georgia and Texas. On Friday, he decided to announce his intentions to play for the Tigers.
