LSU on Tuesday night made a key addition to its wide receiver room as Lane Kiffin continues to reshape the Tigers’ roster.

Jayce Brown, who is coming off a season where he was named to the Big 12’s all-conference third team, has committed to the Tigers, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Brown will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Brown, from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, was an immediate contributor as a true freshman at Kansas State. In 2023, he made 27 catches for 437 yards and three touchdowns, ending the year as the team’s third-leading receiver.

In 2024, Brown emerged as K-State’s top receiver. That season, he pulled in a team-high 823 yards and tied for the team lead with five touchdowns. In 2025, he again led the Wildcats in receiving with 712 yards and five touchdowns. That led to him being named third-team All-Big 12 at the end of the regular season.

Brown is the sixth player to commit to LSU out of the transfer portal. As for who will be throwing to him? That’s a different question. After Brendan Sorsby spurned the Tigers and instead signed with Texas Tech, Kiffin’s focus has shifted to Sam Leavitt, who has reportedly scheduled an official visit with LSU.
