After their second straight shutout and some losses above them, LSU has crept up in the polls.
The Tigers moved up one spot in the coaches poll and are now ranked No. 8. Only one team ahead of LSU coming into the week, Georgia, lost on Saturday. In the Associated Press poll, the Tigers climbed to No. 8 as well, moving up two spots and ahead of both Georgia and Southern California, who lost to Boston College Saturday night.
LSU will face Mississippi State next week. The Bulldogs sit just outside the top 25 in both polls in the “also receiving votes” category.
