LSU has released a statement regarding the inquiry from the College Sports Commission into potential unreported NIL deals.
Per LSU, the inquiry has now been “resolved with no disciplinary action” as the program is now in compliance with CSC guidelines. Here’s the statement in full:
The CSC inquiry into non-reporting has been resolved with no disciplinary action, and any deals that require submission to NIL Go have been submitted. We appreciate the CSC’s prompt review and resolution.
As a result of the House Settlement that was reached in 2025, all third-party NIL deals worth more than $600 now have to go through the NIL Go clearinghouse. The CSC has been charged with enforcement for this new era of college athletics.
LSU signed the No. 1 transfer portal class for the 2026 cycle, per 247Sports rankings. The Tigers landed multiple high-profile recruits, including former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt and former Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton.
It’s unclear at this time when the CSC will formally approve third-party deals that have been submitted to NIL Go.
