LSU’s social media team kept the receipts from ESPN’s Stephen A Smith and Brian Kelly’s apparent Southern accent when he referred to his family being with him at a basketball game.
After the huge overtime win against Alabama, the Tigers deployed the reverse trolls.
Smith, a notable Alabama supporter, said of Kelly: “I am not hearing anything good about Brian Kelly. I’m hearing the players ain’t fond of him, the administration ain’t fond of him, the fans ain’t fond of him. The town ain’t fond of him.”
LSU tweeted this response, and added Kelly’s much-mocked “family” reference:
“What a night with our LSU FAMILY on Saturday night.
We’re pretty fond of what’s happening in Baton Rouge.”
