Jacob Bradford appears to be looking to continue his college football career elsewhere after a season at LSU. On Monday, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported that Bradford had entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

A hometown Tiger, Bradford played at Baton Rouge Catholic. Coming out of high school, he was rated 4-stars and the No. 304 prospect overall in the Class of 2025 on the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. 247Sports’ own recruiting rankings considered Bradford a top-175 prospect in the class.

Not many schools tried to convince Bradford to leave Baton Rouge in his initial recruitment. He signed with LSU over scholarship offers from 11 other programs, including Texas Tech, Houston, Tulane, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.

Wherever Bradford chooses to continue his career, he will have 4 remaining seasons of college football eligibility. By playing in only 4 regular-season games, Bradford was able to take a redshirt for the 2025 season. He also played in LSU’s Texas Bowl game against Houston.

Per his LSU bio, Bradford did not record a defensive statistic in 5 appearances over the 2025 campaign.
