LSU sets potential timeline for return of TE Trey’Dez Green, per report

LSU lost tight end Trey’Dez Green to injury during its Week 3 loss at Ole Miss. While X-rays after the game showed no significant damage to Green, he’ll still miss several weeks as he recovers.
We now know how much time he may miss. According to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, the Tigers’ “current hope” is that Green can return in time for Week 10. That’s when LSU is set to host Alabama.
With Green sidelined, the Tigers were still able to bounce back from a loss to the Rebels, defeating Texas A&M 35-6 to move to 3-1 on the season. Sam Leavitt threw for 312 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Landen Clark ran it into the end zone twice.
Green came into the 2026 season as one of the top tight ends in the country. He had 14 catches for 222 yards and a touchdown before his injury as he looked to build on a 2025 campaign that saw him go for 433 yards and seven scores.
LSU, meanwhile, will get a respite from SEC play as it welcomes in-state FCS foe McNeese State to Death Valley in Week 5. After that, the Tigers travel to Kentucky, host Mississippi State, and visit Auburn before taking on the Crimson Tide.
