LSU tight end Trey’Dez Green had his name added to Friday’s SEC availability report, with his questionable status a surprising development ahead of Saturday’s game against Alabama at Tiger Stadium.

Per ESPN’s Laura Rutledge, we know why Green was ruled questionable. He’s been working through a stomach bug, but it shouldn’t be enough to keep him off the field on Saturday, Pete Thamel said.

Green only just returned to the Tigers on Oct. 24 against Auburn, making five catches for 50 yards in LSU‘s 38-17 victory. It was his first game since suffering a right knee injury against Ole Miss on Sept. 19.

That injury put a hold on what was the start of a strong campaign for the junior. He posted four catches for 58 yards in the season opener against Clemson. A week later, against Louisiana Tech, he made six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. Before leaving the Ole Miss game, he had four catches for 60 yards.

LSU, currently at No. 14 in the College Football Playoff rankings, could give its hopes of making the field a massive boost with a victory against the Crimson Tide on Saturday. The Tigers wrap up the regular season against Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
