It’s been a process for Whit Weeks to work his way back into playing condition for LSU this season, and while it appears the veteran linebacker is closer to returning to the field, he’s still not quite there yet.

The SEC’s weekly availability reports were revealed Wednesday night, and ahead of the Bayou Bengals’ pivotal clash with Alabama, Weeks has been listed as ‘doubtful’ for the game.

This is a change from previous weeks, when Weeks had been found under the ‘out’ category after suffering a fractured right fibula during his team’s win over Texas A&M on Sept. 26.

Blake Baker’s defense has certainly fared well since Weeks suffered his injury, but the unit would definitely like to have one of its leaders back.

Amidst his fourth year in Baton Rouge, Weeks recorded 170 tackles through his first two seasons before physical ailments also derailed his 2025 campaign. This season, Weeks had tallied 23 total tackles and a pass breakup prior to exiting the game against the Aggies.

With matchups against Texas (home) and Tennessee (road) looming for LSU, it remains to be seen if Weeks can work his way back into the fold before LSU’s regular season concludes.

Ironically, Whit’s brother, Zach, is listed as questionable for this game as well.
