LSU WR Nic Anderson’s MRI came back better than expected, and there is hope for his return later this season, according to Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.

Anderson sustained a right knee injury in the third quarter of Saturday’s contest against Alabama. He exited the game and headed straight to the injury tent before he eventually left the field on an injury cart. Anderson would return to the sidelines, this time in street clothes and on crutches.

There was an initial fear that Anderson would miss the rest of the season; however, Anderson’s MRI came back with encouraging news for the wide receiver and the Tigers. There is some hope that Anderson will be able to return this season.

The junior receiver has hauled in 12 receptions for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns on the year. His best game came against Ole Miss when he caught 2 receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.

LSU would go on to lose 20-9 to Alabama and bring its record to 5-4 overall. The Tigers finish off the year with games against Arkansas, Western Kentucky, and No. 11 Oklahoma.

The 2025-26 season has been one to forget for LSU fans, but hopefully, with some encouraging news, Anderson and the Tigers can finish the year on a strong note.
