Cam Newton and Mac Jones have had one of the more entertaining relationships of the preseason, and the former Auburn star has gone out of his way to help the transition to the NFL for the former Alabama star.
That includes tracking him down on the sideline for a High-5 as Jones turned in another solid performance on Sunday against the New York Giants. The New England Patriots have had a tight quarterback battle this preseason, and the winner is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Newton was 2-for-5 passing for 10 yards, while Jones was 10-for-14 passing for 156 yards and a touchdown.
After the game, coach Bill Belichick said he hasn’t yet made a decision on the starting quarterback.
Cam needed his high-five 😂
