Miami and Florida State are meeting on Saturday night in one of the biggest games in quite some time, but it was the road team who continued to deliver big plays throughout the game.

Wide receiver Malachi Toney has been a star all season long, and he continued that on Saturday night. His second touchdown of the night blew the doors wide open for the Hurricanes, as Beck hit him on a 40-yard pass to go up 21-3.

The 40-yard touchdown was a big play, but it wasn’t even the longest touchdown catch he had in the game. He had a 44-yard touchdown catch as well in the second quarter. He introduced himself to college football in the season-opening win against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and he has just given the Hurricanes a truly explosive dynamic receiver.

Last season it was Cam Ward who helped get the Hurricanes closer to being able to contend for a spot in the College Football Playoff, and Carson Beck has only taken that to another level.

The Hurricanes have been as complete of a team as there is in college football this year, as the defense also has been lights out throughout the entire night.

Miami will host Louisville in 2 weeks.
