Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed has already received plenty of attention for his 2026 potential, but the Aggies signal-caller himself is even more fired up about his receiving corps.
Reed’s ensemble cast includes emerging junior Mario Craver, who totaled 59 catches for 917 yards and four touchdowns last season, along with junior Terry Bussey, redshirt sophomore Ashton Bethel-Roman and Alabama transfer Isaiah Horton.
“Terry had a tremendous spring, and Ashton is an explosive guy who can take the top off. He is probably faster than any DB in my opinion,” Reed said Wednesday during Day 3 of SEC Media Days in Tampa. “Mario’s results speak for itself. He did a lot last year and I think he will do even more this year. He will be someone a lot of teams watch, but he will still make plays.”
Reed himself passed for 3,169 yards and accounted for 31 total touchdowns last season to help the Aggies to 11 straight wins to start the season and a berth in the College Football Playoff.
“I’m really excited for the people I have around me,” Reed added. “It is going to be really explosive, really exciting. This team is going to be special.”
