Mario Anderson has reportedly decided to enter the transfer portal, per multiple reports.

Anderson was South Carolina’s top rusher this season, finishing the year with 707 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, averaging just under 5 yards per carry. The former D-II star transferred from Newberry to South Carolina prior to this past season following the exit of MarShawn Lloyd to Southern Cal.

“Super Mario” is not just a violent runner, he’s also a legitimate receiving threat out of the backfield. He totaled 153 receiving yards with the iconic below touchdown against Florida:

On the surface, this seems like a bit of a strange move for Anderson, who was likely to improve upon those numbers as the primary back next season. We’ll see what his future has in store soon enough.
