Mario Cristobal and Miami suffered another loss on Saturday night to NC State, falling to 2-3 in ACC play this season.

The Hurricanes fell 20-6 and were shutout in the second half. Miami’s offense was unable to move the ball for large stretches of game time, as it averaged just 4.2 yards per play in the loss.

Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke had another nightmare outing. He threw three interceptions and completed just 21-of-38 passes for 173 yards. It was his fourth straight game with multiple interceptions thrown.

Cristobal took on plenty of criticism from fans and media after the game. He made multiple questionable decisions on 4th down throughout the game. The Canes went 0-for-2 on fourth down and had a missed field goal in the second half that would have made it 10-9 NC State at the time of the kick.

Miami is now 6-3 on the season. The Hurricanes also have a difficult schedule to finish the year, starting with a game vs. Florida State next weekend. Miami is also set to face second-place Louisville in Week 12.

It’s possible Miami will have just a modest improvement from last season’s 5-7 record in Cristobal’s second year at the helm, which would be a big disappointment after starting the year 4-0.

Here’s some of the reaction and criticism toward Cristobal after the loss:
