Mark Ingram won the Heisman Trophy during his time at Alabama. Now the star running back is a member of the media for FOX Sports. He’s down in New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl 59 between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, making the rounds on Radio Row.

Even with the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday, Alabama football is still at the top of everyone’s minds. During an interview with Yahoo, Ingram was asked about new coach Kalen DeBoer.

Ingram urged patience from the Crimson Tide faithful, saying DeBoer will be ‘just fine’:

We are OK,” Ingram said. “We are just fine. Just let DeBoer cook. We got the players. We got everything we need. We just got to make it happen. We are fine.

“It’s hard (to be patient). It’s hard, but we had a good first year. If you gave him — how we ended wasn’t great, but we got another year, second year. He’s been a winner. He was just in the national championship 2 years ago. Give him time to cook. Get his players in there. Get his system in there. Get his belief going among the players. We’re fine. We’re fine.

Alabama went 9-4 overall and 5-3 in SEC play this season. The Tide will need to be better than that in 2025 to keep the heat off of DeBoer.

But at least the Alabama coach has a strong supporter in the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner.
