Kentucky is familiar with dealing with precautions against COVID-19, but coach Mark Stoops is confident in the Wildcats ability to play Vanderbilt this week.

He shared those thoughts on the SEC coaches media teleconference on Wednesday.

“We are like most teams, dealing with issues. certainly in a position to play the game… had a few issues in a delay in results from testing but we are moving forward,” Stoops said. “We continue to preach about being diligent and taking precautions… they’ve done a good job, they’ve been relatively safe and I think they will continue to be that way.”

Stoops said offensive coordinator Eddie Gran could return.

“We do have a contingency plan in place, yes I do plan on him being back,” Stoops said.

At quarterback, Kentucky is looking to find an answer after Joey Gatewood started last week in place of Terry Wilson, who had a hand injury.

“They are all back, Terry is back from injury,” Stoops said. “All 4 QBs will be available, we’ll see how it goes.”

The game is set for noon ET on the SEC Network from Lexington.
