MarShawn Lloyd missed South Carolina’s Week 10 win at Vanderbilt on Saturday. The Gamecocks would get a big boost if Lloyd returns for the trip to Florida.

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer addressed Lloyd’s during his media conference call with reporters Sunday. Beamer expressed optimism that Lloyd would be good to go in Week 11.

The Gamecocks practiced Sunday, but Lloyd did not do much. The staff will see how the star running back looks on Tuesday.

A sophomore, Lloyd leads the Gamecocks in scoring with 11 touchdowns. Lloyd has rushed 100 times for 556 yards and 9 TDs. He also has 17 catches for 173 yards and 2 scores.

Jaheim Bell, who normally plays tight end, led South Carolina in rushing with Lloyd sidelined. Bell had 16 carries for 56 yards.
