South Carolina RB MarShawn Lloyd is all the way back from the ACL injury he suffered almost exactly a year ago as the Gamecocks ramp up preparations for the Eastern Illinois game to open the season.
“I feel like now, I feel like I’m at the place where I was before I got hurt,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “Cuts and runs are not a problem. Been full-go since camp started.”
Lloyd missed all of last season, and has steadily come back this spring and summer, and is expected to be a strong addition alongside All-SEC running back Kevin Harris.
Coming out of high school listed at 5-foot-9, 206 pounds, Lloyd was rated the No. 3 running back in Maryland in the 2020 recruiting class, the No. 8 running back prospect in America and the No. 43 player in this class overall, according to 247Sports.
