The Texas Longhorns are gearing up for what could end up being the most important game of the entire 2026 college football season this Saturday when they welcome the Ohio State Buckeyes to Darrell K. Royal Stadium for a top-5 clash in the Lone Star State.
Star quarterback Arch Manning and the rest of the Horns will be looking to avenge their Week 1 defeat at the hands of the Buckeyes last season, and notch the biggest win of the young 2026 campaign in the process.
In anticipation of their heavyweight clash against Ohio State, the Texas social media team released an epic hype video Friday afternoon, narrated by none other than Hollywood star and Longhorns superfan Matthew McConaughey.

Long before he became one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, McConaughey was a kid who grew up loving the Longhorns in Texas, and that fandom has only grown with his stardom.
The Oscar-winning artist has been a mainstay on the Texas sideline for over 20 years, serving as the “Minister of Culture” for the program since the 2018 campaign.
McConaughey is the definition of what it means to bleed Burnt Orange, and his infectious energy in this hype video is sure to get the rest of Longhorn nation pumped up for this must-see showdown against the Buckeyes.
