There’s change coming to the top of Miami’s athletic department, according to a report.
Per Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger, Miami athletic director Dan Radakovich is soon expected to announce his retirement. Dellenger’s report says that news was delivered to school board members on Friday and that an “exit agreement” is already in the works.
Radakovich, 67, has enjoyed a long career in athletics administration. His first AD job was at Georgia Tech from 2006-12. Radakovich then moved to Clemson where he was instrumental in building the Tigers’ football program into one of the nation’s most-feared teams during the height of the Dabo Swinney era.

Radakovich left Clemson for the Miami job in December of 2021, arriving at the same time as head coach Mario Cristobal. Radakovich will leave behind big shoes to fill as the Miami football program is coming off of its best season in a quarter century in 2025.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, a potential replacement is Michael Yormark. In addition to being the twin brother of Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark, Michael is an executive at ROC Nation Sports International.
Michael Yormark also has ties to the area as he previously spent over a decade as the president and CEO of the NHL’s Florida Panthers.
