Mike Elko refers to TexAgs community as a ‘cesspool’ after blowout loss to Mizzou
Texas A&M coach Mike Elko drew a clear line in the sand after the Aggies’ blowout loss to Mizzou on Saturday.
Asked about his message to the fans who are frustrated with a 1-3 start, Elko said he’s not interested in appeasing fans who are vocal on social media. Elko specifically called out members of TexAgs — the massive online Texas A&M community run by Billy Liucci.
Elko referred to those fans as a “cesspool” in his postgame comments.
“There’s a difference to me between the fan base and social media,” Elko said. “So there’s one group that I really don’t care much about. Billy’s cesspool can go be Billy’s cesspool.
“Our fan base, stay with us, be behind us. We’re going to build something that we told you we were going to build. So we’re in a really bad spot right now, but we’ll work our way out of it.”

Those comments aside, Texas A&M fans have been growing more and more frustrated with the Aggies offense this season. Texas A&M averaged just 3.5 yards per play in a 27-6 loss to the Tigers on Saturday.
Texas A&M is now 1-3 in SEC play to start the year despite having CFP aspirations before the season began.
