Mississippi State football added a commitment from Class of 2027 offensive lineman Zyion Wesley on Friday night, beating out the likes of Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee and Ole Miss, to name a few.

“They’re building a family over there,” Wesley told Rivals.

Wesley hails from Edna Karr high school in New Orleans, Louisiana and is the 8th prospect to commit to Mississippi State for the Class of 2027. He stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 275 pounds. While he plays offensive tackle for Edna Karr, his frame best translates to an interior offensive lineman role in college.

In addition to being the 8th commitment of Mississippi State‘s 2027 cycle, Wesley is also the 2nd offensive lineman to commit to the Bulldogs, joining 3-star interior offensive lineman Caleb Unger.

Wesley is a raw prospect, considered to be the No. 1361 overall player in the Class of 2027 according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s also considered to be the No. 107 offensive tackle and the No. 45 player out of the state of Louisiana.

Wesley represents Mississippi State’s first commitment in a month and a half. The Bulldogs landed 3-star TE Sutton Gutting on April 24.
