Mississippi State completes comeback vs. Mizzou, moves to 4-0

Mississippi State defeated Mizzou 31-24 on Saturday night to move to 4-0 on the season.
The Bulldogs were facing a 24-17 deficit entering the 4th quarter, but quarterback Kamario Taylor led a pair of touchdown drives in the final 7:09 to give his team the lead.
This win snaps a streak of 14 consecutive losses against ranked opposition for Mississippi State.

Taylor was once again excellent in this winning effort. He threw for 360 yards and 3 touchdowns, including the game-winning score. He also hit receiver Anthony Evans on a key deep ball to help move the Bulldogs into the red zone late in the 4th quarter.
Running back Fluff Bothwell was dominant once again, though he exited the game in the 4th quarter due to an injury. He finished with 122 yards and 1 touchdown on 25 carries.
It’s a disappointing result for Mizzou, which suffered its first loss of the season. Austin Simmons threw for 295 yards and 3 touchdown passes, but a late comeback attempt fell short.
Mississippi State will now prepare to host Alabama next weekend in one of the most highly-anticipated quarterback battles of the entire SEC season between Taylor and Keelon Russell.
