Just a few weeks after initially announcing his commitment to Mississippi State, 4-star running back Yoshawn Hudson announced on Thursday that he has de-committed from Jeff Lebby and the Bulldogs.
Hudson committed to Mississippi State on June 14. The Winona, Mississippi running back told Rivals on Thursday that he wanted to further evaluate his options before his senior season starts up here in just a few months.
โMy plan now is just looking forward to my senior season, balling out and trying to win a championship,โ Hudson said, via Rivals. โThatโs my main focus right now. I want to make the right decision for me and my family and for my future.โ
Crucially, Hudson said that he has not ruled Mississippi State out of the race for his talents. As of now, he also holds offers from Wisconsin, Cincinnati and Houston, to name a few.
Hudson was the 2nd highest-ranked prospect on the commitment list for Mississippi State in the Class of 2027, just behind 4-star RB Christian Alexander, who committed to MSU in April. The Bulldogs now hold commitments from 15 players in the 2027 cycle.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Hudson is considered to be the No. 256 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 11 ATH and No. 10 prospect out of Mississippi.
