Mississippi State picks up commitments from No. 3 JUCO OT, elite in-state LB

Mississippi State added to its recruiting class with the No. 3 junior college offensive tackle in Percy Lewis, and the No. 23 player in the state of Mississippi in Avery Sledge. They’re both 3-star recruits.
Lewis is from Sallis, Mississippi by way of Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. He is 6-foot-8 and 330 pounds, and is rated the No. 1 JUCO player among Mississippi junior colleges, according to the 247Sports Composite. He was recruited by Mason Miller and had 11 offers. Lewis decommitted from Oregon in November and was deciding between Mississippi State and Ole Miss as Wednesday neared, visiting both schools this month, the Clarion-Ledger reported.
Sledge is 6-3, 210 pounds from Brooklyn, Mississippi (Forrest County Agricultural) and rated the No. 23 player in Mississippi, and the No. 78 linebacker in this class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
